ADOBE - Best Website Award

Award:

Students used Squarespace to build their sites so they could focus on branding and functionality rather than coding. As with all good websites, a consistent brand should be immediately apparent. The main page should impact and entice the viewer to continue through the site. An engaging about page with a professional bio that is perhaps a little cheeky helps the photographer connect with potential clients. Blog content should be interesting and reflect their business. Contact info and links to their social media platforms are easy to find.

Below are the submissions for the award. The faculty and staff wish the best of luck to all who submitted. The Best Website Award has been generously sponsored this year by Adobe.

JUDGE:

Alison Capuano is a proud graduate of the Algonquin College Photography Program and also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University.

She started her career as a product photographer but quickly found herself drawn to helping clients not only with their images but with their websites, branding, and digital presence. That path eventually led her into marketing, where she now works as a consultant, bringing creative and strategic ideas together.

Alison has built and redesigned many websites throughout her career and knows firsthand the impact a strong online presence can have. She believes a great website blends aesthetics with functionality and tells a story that leaves a lasting impression.

She’s excited to witness the next generation of photographers step confidently into the world with their unique voices and visual storytelling.
