NIKON - Best Editorial Image
Award:
As a photographer, getting an assignment to photograph a Magazine Cover or Editorial Image is quite an accomplishment. It is a higher-paying gig and a significant boost to one's career. For our second-year students, getting them to photograph a cover is an excellent way to showcase their photographic skills and practice their design skills. Our students are not graphic designers, but taking on the challenge of displaying their knowledge of layout enhances their skill set, making them better prepared for a career in the imaging industry.
Students research and lay out their text and graphics before photographing their covers. Like all magazine covers, image impact is critical to selling magazines and winning this award.
Below are the submissions for the award. The faculty and staff wish the best of luck to all who submitted. Thanks to our sponsors Nikon Canada for their continued support of our students in co-sponsoring this award. Thanks to our fantastic judge, too!!
